I am a licensed nationally certified counselor in Maryland and the District of Columbia. Caring for others is my passion-my calling. The pursuit of this calling led me to enroll in Loyola University to receive my Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in order to address the needs of people suffering from mental health distress, dis-ease, and disorder.
For me, the need to serve others is a calling more than a business and my objective is to increase access to mental health services to all who have a need but are afraid or unaware of the benefits counseling can provide. My office welcomes you.

Below is a little background about me.

I am a native Californian, born and raised in San Francisco (SF), a graduate of the University of California, SF School of Dentistry where I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS). Later I received my Master of Public Health Degree (MPH) and completed a Residency in Dental Public Health.

I was commissioned by Congress as a United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps officer to serve the most vulnerable populations in need of medical, dental, and mental health services. Some of the populations served were underserved communities such as:

*Navajo and Hopi Indians (Arizona)
*Female inmates in Alderson Correctional Institution (West Virginia)
* Low-income communities in the San Francisco Bay View Hunters Point (San Francisco)
*Populations impacted by Hurricane
Katrina (New Orleans, Gulf Port)
*Underserved communities ( Jamaica)

To address the unmet treatment needs of persons experiencing mental health disorders and ensure access to mental health services was available, I retired from dentistry to further my academic quest and earned a Master of Science Degree (MS) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Loyola, Maryland. I am excited to be part of a team of providers who are committed to serving.
